Villa Eleonora - Sleeps 20
Like beads on a necklace the incomparable Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, and Todi are strung together by an oval-shaped road. Just off this road, in saintly central Umbria, is the quiet village of Collazzone, and nearby is Villa Eleonora.On arrival imposing double electric gates give an inkling as to the magnificence within - an outdoor and an indoor swimming pool, a gym, a billiards room, a dining terrace with views over undulating patchwork fields and woods - just a few of our favourite things. As one would expect from a villa of this standard, all bedrooms have their own en-suite shower or bathroom and one bedroom is actually a suite. |

Villa Gattopardo - Sleeps 4
This spacious property is well planned. It straddles a private driveway, with the villa and walled courtyard on one side, and a swimming pool and garden area on the other side, but what have the owners done? They specially constructed an underground passageway so that guests do not have to open and close two sets of gates and cross the driveway to get between villa and pool. That is the measure of the thought and care that has gone into preparing for their guests and how they intend to treat them. Santa Croce Camerina is a reasonably sized town and we are about 2 kilometres from it and the sea. |

Casa Canova - Sleeps 3
Casa Canova is a delightfully, romantic cottage in the grounds of the owners Villa and attached to the caretakers accommodation. It does however have privacy and has a lovely view overlooking the Borromean Islands lying in the centre of the lake. These are mini-paradises named after the chief patron of Lake Maggiore, Cardinal Carlo Borromeo. Swimming pool open between 15th May and 15th September (weather permitting). |

Casa Francescana 2 - Sleeps 6
Only 6 kms from the bustle of Assisi centre, Casa Francescana is perched among the evergreen trees on Mount Subasio where visitors enjoy staggeringly beautiful views across this tranquil retreat. There are delightful walks in the woods, where the delicate tartufo (truffles) can be found. Completely restored, the farmhouse comprises the owners accommodation and two apartments for rental, each with independent entrances at opposite sides. |

East of Florence, and the river Arno, the Road of the Seven Bridges winds its panoramic way through medieval towns en route to Arezzo. It is a land of dark green wooded slopes, and thousands of acres of silvery-green olive trees that occupy the flatter areas. Planted proudly amongst this idyllic scenery, the arches and pale yellow plasterwork of this substantial house are visible for miles. |

Villa Pietra Alta - Sleeps 8
Villa Pietra Alta, or high rock, is no misnomer. It is a modern villa located on a hillside above the already high town of Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi. This means that its views, being far-reaching and quite breathtaking, are over the Gulf of Naples and also over the Gulf of Salerno. Given the lay-out of this villa, it would be ideal for two families who require a certain level of privacy.There is a WWF protected pine forest near the villa, great for cool relaxing walks or shaded jogging for the more energetic. |

Cottage Giuseppe - Sleeps 2
Cottage Giuseppe is a delightful semi-detached, and renovated, house in the heart of Tuscany. Not only that, it is very reasonably priced, and features a lovely covered eating/relaxing area with a view over patchwork hills to die for. The friendly owner lives in a separate house nearby. While the cottage does not have its own pool, there is a good public swimming pool set back right across the road, so even a refreshing dip couldn't be nearer. The car can be parked up and left, since, just outside the electric gates, there is a bus stop with frequent cheap services into nearby San Gimignano |
